What it is
Yttrium-90 microspheres are delivered via the hepatic artery. Because tumours draw their blood supply from the artery (not the portal vein), the beads lodge in the tumour bed and irradiate over days.

Standard oncology workup plus a mapping angiogram to plan the shunt.
