What it is

Rather than systemic lysis, a micro-catheter is placed inside the clot and low-dose thrombolytic infused over hours — higher local dose, lower bleeding risk, often combined with mechanical clot removal.

Confirmed on imaging (Doppler, CT, angiography).

Treatment

Angiographic access, catheter placement into clot, infusion overnight in a monitored bed, interval imaging, and completion angiography.
