What it is
When endoscopy can't localise or control a GI bleed, angiography can — visualising active extravasation and embolising the culprit vessel with coils, glue, or particles.

- Vomiting blood or coffee-ground material
- Passing black or fresh blood per rectum
- Haemodynamic instability

Diagnosis
CT angiography and catheter angiography.

Treatment
Super-selective embolisation of the bleeding vessel; done in coordination with gastroenterology and the medical team.
